Step by step
- Set lane position and power.
- Roll into the rack.
- A strike ends a normal frame; otherwise roll again.
- The tenth can earn bonus rolls.

A useful example
A strike followed by rolls of 4 and 5 makes the strike frame worth 19. An ordinary frame of 4 and 5 is worth 9. Use the example as a guide rather than a substitute for reading your board. Look for the relevant detail.
