How to play Pinball

Start Pinball by looking at the playing area and its controls. Reach 1,500 points before three balls drain. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions. Read the objective before making your first input. Look at what changes after your first action.

Original compact two-flipper table with three bumpers.

Keep the aim in sight

Keep the stated aim separate from side details such as animation or appearance. Progress is measured by the game’s own completion or scoring rules. Make the next step deliberately.

Your goal

Reach 1,500 points before three balls drain. Read that aim before choosing your first action. Return to the instructions when a step is unclear.

Step by step

  1. Start to launch.
  2. Use the two flippers.
  3. Bumper collisions score.
  4. Launch remaining balls after a drain.

Controls

Hold Left/Right flipper or arrow keys. Start / pause and New round are available. Read a button’s label before selecting it. Check any mode label before starting.

A useful example

Activate the flipper when the ball reaches its active surface. Focus on why the action is allowed, not only its outcome. Read the matching step again.

Watch out for this

A drained ball cannot be rescued. Take a moment to reassess the position before continuing. After a move, check what changed. Decide which rule explains the new state before acting again.
