How to play Scorpion Solitaire
Read the aim of Scorpion Solitaire, then make your first move. Complete four same-suit king-to-ace runs. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls. Begin with the solo mode shown on the page. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move.
Seven columns; three stock cards dealt once to the first three columns. Free solo play, no wagering.
Keep the aim in sight
Keep the stated aim separate from side details such as animation or appearance. Progress is measured by the game’s own completion or scoring rules. Use the example to check your reasoning.
Your goal
Complete four same-suit king-to-ace runs. Read that aim before choosing your first action. Start with a deliberate move.
Step by step
- Move a face-up card with its tail onto the next higher same-suit rank. Kings fill empty columns.
- Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
- Use foundations where available; full Spider or Scorpion runs clear automatically.
- Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.
Controls
Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. Use the control method described here for this activity. Look at the feedback after the action.
A useful example
The trailing cards may be unordered, but the destination suit and rank must match. Focus on why the action is allowed, not only its outcome. Take a moment to compare.
Watch out for this
Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Compare the situation with the worked example. After a move, check what changed. Decide which rule explains the new state before acting again.
